Janet L. Ferguson is a founding partner of Ferguson & Wacha, LLC a law firm in Napoleon, Ohio, where she practices primarily in the areas of family law including divorce, dissolution, child support, adoption and custody matters. Ms. Ferguson also has experience in the general practice areas of civil litigation, business law, personal injury, probate and estate planning.

Ms. Ferguson graduated magna cum laude from the University of Redlands, in Redlands, California, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She subsequently passed the Certified Public Accountancy (CPA) Exam and received her CPA credential in 2000. Ms. Ferguson joined the national accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLC, an affiliation she maintained until leaving to attend law school. Ms. Ferguson received her law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2002. While at the University of Notre Dame, Ms. Ferguson interned with Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, the largest law firm in Northwest Ohio.

Ms. Ferguson is admitted to practice before the Ohio Supreme Court and is active in the American, Ohio State, Henry County, and Fulton County Bar Associations, as well as the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She currently serves as the President of the Northwest Ohio Family Law Association and is trained both as a collaborative lawyer and as a mediator.
